Pater/Mater
A Dádhe who is the head of any vampire community outside a matriarch’s or patriarch’s resident city (e.g., Mud Island in Memphis, Tennessee is the seat of power for the Standish House matriarch, Rose Standish and has no pater/mater). The patriarch or matriarch of the territory’s ruling Dádhe House elects the female maters or male paters for each city or town in their region. Quinn Buchanan is the pater of Nashville, Tennessee’s local vampires.
